Kousushi(幸寿司) | Nippori
This is really a place only locals know. You really can not judge from the appearance of the venue. My mom told me about this place one time and I went there with a lot of skepticism. Once they brought some sashimi, I fell in love with the fatty tuna they had. I only asked for the sashimi assortment and the chef prepared the best and freshest assortment for us. You see that fatty tuna in the picture…yes the one looks like the wagyu meat. Man, after that everything about my expectation for this place and quality of sushi has changed!! I was super excited to order Sushi after that and some other appetizers. I made sure to get more of those fatty tuna, tuna roll, ikura and sea urchin. Those are my top sushi favorites. Oh my god. These guys know what’s the best raw fish quality…and it was just my family at the restaurant. I know they do have delivery options too. You see the cool red motorcycle by the entrance! If you are going to Yanaka area to explore the Tokyo’s slow pace old downtown spots, make sure to stop by the sushi restaurants. I know these days, that tourists go to Yanaka area, but I doubt that they know this place!!
