Ueno Park(上野公園)| Ueno
Written By Motokyo
Public Park
Nearest Station: Ueno Station (JR/Metro)
My favorite: Walk around during cherry blossoms, science museums, or see panda at Ueno Zoo
This is where I grew up. The Park offers many things and also connecting Ugusudani station to Ueno Station. What I really love is to just walk around during cherry blossom timing in April or visiting during Fall when leaves turn red. I have also taken my kids to Ueno Zoo and Science Museums. We had so much fun for both places. You should make sure to spend 1 day for each location. From the park, you can also go to Ueno city area for shopping and dining as well. There is also a pond called "shinobazu no ike" where you can just enjoy the scenery or rent a boat to enjoy the ride on the water.

“Go to the zoo or museum, then go out to Ameyoko area for street dining at the early evening! That’s just one way to enjoy! ”
While you are in Ueno.
