Koya Sushi Beaverton Review
I feel like it’s been a while since I found a decent sushi restaurant in Oregon.
Ans yes, I found in Beaverton even!
I did not expect this quality from Beaverton Oregon at all.
The restaurant is called Koya Sushi. Koya comes from Japanese “Koya 小屋” which means mountain hut or smal shed.

What is good about Koya Sushi?
The size of the rice is what I like about this sushi.
I often find that American sushi has huge rice compared to Sashimi on top.
Coya’s sushi has just right size and balance.
Rice is a bit smaller than the sashimi and it’s one bite size👍
I bet many American people who is used to the bigger rice sushi may feel this one to be too small.
But for me, it’s perfect!
what I ordered was Nigiri Combination set menu for sushi, and I have added a few more I like which are Hotate, Tuna roll and anago eel.
I really liked their Tuna, shrimp, yellowtail and hotate.
*Combination menu comes with 1 piece each and individual order comes in 2 pieces.
I ordered Chicken Kara-age as well it was okay.
Price is a bit expensive but I was pretty satisfied with the quality with the price.
Definitely, I will go back.

久しぶりに美味しいお寿司に出会いました。
そうです、オレゴン州郊外にあるビーバートンのダウンタウンにあるKOYA寿司です。
名前は日本の小屋からきているようです。

あまり期待をせずにテイクアウトしてみると、美味しい！
Koya Sushiの好きなところ
何が良いかって言うと、ネタの質とシャリのバランスです。
とにかく、ご飯が少なめである。
アメリカ寿司になれてしまうと、「ちっちゃ」とツッコミたくなる。
アメリカのお寿司屋さんでは珍しいぐらいのシャリの量であるが、食べやすい。
そして、シャリの味もいいし、ネタも美味しい。
刺身にする事もできるので、今度は刺身で頼んでみよう。
こんなに小さい（小さいと言うと語弊があるかも知れない）お寿司はポートランドでは珍しい。
一口でたべるには丁度いい大きさである。
その他、唐揚げもたべたが、唐揚げは普通。
注文したのは、にぎりコンビネーションと後は好きなネタを足してオーダーしました。
コンビネーションの方はネタは一貫ずつで、別途でオーダーしたものは2貫ずつきます。
プラスでオーダーしたものは、ホタテ握りな穴子、鉄火巻などです。
全部美味しかったですが、特に個人的に気に入ったネタは、マグロ、ヒラメ、カンパチ、エビ。
値段は少し高いかなとも思いますが、美味しい寿司を食べられたので満足です。
